New Kind of Radio Station
Last year I was crusin the radio stations while riding in the car and I found one that really appealed to me (94.9 The Sound). Right when I started listening to it I noticed it was different. There were barely any ads and the DJ (or recording) kept talking about a perfect 10 playlist. Apparently you can go online and make you’re perfect 10 playlist. If they have the music they’ll play the list. They also notify you when it is played. This seems to allow this statioin to be the epitome of variety.
I haven’t submitted a playlist myself, but I’m interested in doing so. I’m not sure if there are other radio stations doing the same or similar things. But it just appealed to me in general. If you live in the area it services you should check it out. You can even listen to it online.
I’m not affiliated with this radio station in any way.
New Semester
As I’m listening to my raving techno, I’m thinking about the approaching new semester. Not will be changed schedule wise. I’ll just be swapping my spanish class and adding performing arts. I wanted to be in performing arts for a lead in the next play or musical rather my school is doing–Grease! Many people think it was a bad pick but all we can do is our best. I don’t think I’ll get a lead but it would be be nice to just be involved.
This past semester has been a dousy. My teachers have piled on the homework. I think about it though, and it only seems much more because my course work is harder. Not to mention it is my Junior year in High School. Now that I got the hang of the work maybe this next semester will be a breeze. I’m still working on my time management. Its so hard to get stuck to a schedule especially when you feel you don’t feel like you’re in control (but thats another future blog).
WOW 3 more semsesters and I’m out of High school :D. I have a experienced some of college due to me living on a college campus. It seems so much free. I use the gym, the library and many other facilities. I’ve even attended a lecture; very very interesting. I would like to experience an actual class. People say the AP classes give you a taste. I don’t believe that a bit. I hope my strengths in my style of learning help me throughout the boring lectures and the grueling projects that lie ahead. (I don’t think it’ll be that bad though.)
Holidays
For once I looked forward to my Winter break. In the past I had dreaded it due to the fact that I would have nothing to do. But now I’m overjoyed because I get a break from work even though I’m assigned stuff over break. I haven’t worked on any of it so far and I go back on the 3rd. And with break comes the time to be able to actually blog.
My Winter break was full. First, I worked on my eagle scout project. I made storage units for the music instruments in the band room of my shcool. Then at the request of the teacher, I fixed up stands and a small poorly built shelf that was already present.
On Christmas day my family and I traveled to my relatives. The visit there at first was a bit dull. We ate this big delicious dinner and proceeded to dessert and presents. I got $35 and a calendar that day. The next day I was able to go to the mall. It was PACKED with people. I almost wanted to leave, but I got over it. I went into American Eagle and spent a nice sum of money. That is my favorite clothing store.
That was one side of the family, now I had to wait for the other side; 4 days to be exact. Luckily my grandparents had DSL and a nice new computer I helped set up. At the other side of the familiy’s party it was really no different. We ate and proceeded to presents. I was given this book Children are Americans Too! by Bill O’Reilly. It was an interesting book. I read the whole thing that day. Not only was it easy to read but was highly interesting for me.
But alas I now have to think about school once more. I’ll get through it though. ![]()
