Enlightening Weekend

A few weekends ago I visited my Grandmother. She is a widow. Part of the reason for going up there was remembering my past grandfather. She was hit pretty hard by his death in march. She had to learn some stuff she wasn’t used to, but she got through. I knew it was important for my family and I to go visit her during this time.

While there, I met up with some other relatives. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed myself. Usually when it comes to family gatherings, I’m a loner. But I got to listening to my older relatives stories. They were all humorous and intersting. My uncle Dan enlightened me of my grandfather’s and his brother’s past. It was interesting to hear all that he had done. He was truly a good man. He was a writer and has had many things published. Maybe I’ll take up writing as a hobby someday, but definitely not as an occupation.

Overall, that weekend was very enlightening. I felt like it was worth it–like I learned something. Even though what I learned wasn’t necessary, it was intersting nonetheless. I now look foward to gatherings like that. Learning is a great reason to visit someone or going someplace. Maybe we should make everything a learning experience, even simple pleasures.

Something New

Some of you may have noticed that I have not posted for sometime. This is partly because of laziness and the fact that I don’t have a continuous connection to the internet at the moment. The reasons for that will not be said here.

During my absence I thought in ways to make my blog better, maybe even juicier. See, in the beginning I was afraid to give out to much info. But then I thought to myself, people like to read about real life drama and part of a blog for me is to talk about my week or the past few days and my thoughts. Thus, expect things to get more personal and maybe even more frequent posts wince I’ll have some content.

If I get into a situation in which I have to use names, the names will be changed to protect the identities of the people involved.

Another thing I’d like to say is, I don’t really mind if there is one person or one hundred reading this. This blog for me is like a journal sometimes, and if I’m the only one reading it thats perfectly fine.

I hope you enjoy the new content coming soon.

(A constant internet connection returns September 13th.)

Life is a Game

That’s right a game, one we can’t control. We make moves everyday which in turn may affect the out come of something whether I’d be small as a cut lip or as big as your future career. We make moves sometimes not knowing what might happen or how we’ve affected others. Both what we say and do are included. Some of us know how it’ll affect others. It all depends on your goal. Do you want to hurt that person? Do you want to make them happy? Do you want to help them?

I don’t see why people purposely hurt others. Do they do it out of spite? Do they do it to teach a lesson?

I know people don’t always do it on purpose. And I’m not saying people should watch what they say. People will hurt people no matter what, It’s inevitable.

All of these are questions that I don’t want answered but ones I want people to think about. We’ve all been hurt sometime. Think about how you felt. Now think about how it feels to another person. I encourage all of you to reach out to another person in some good way. To comfort them, to make them happy, to help them, to love them…

(I’m just lost…lost in my thoughts.)

Summer…and school on the way

Whether we’d like to face the facts or not, summer is almost over.  That is, in the respect of school aspects. I personally have only 4 weeks until I have to go back to school. I still have summer reading to do. 3 books and 1 play.

My summer has been ok. It hasn’t been bad or good. Actually about 80% of it has been spent in this very chair. Its sad, I know… But let me focus on the positive aspects of my summer. I went to band camp! Which was fun…I guess. We played this amazing piece called Symphony No. 2 by James Barnes Chance. For more info on band camp go to http://postdifferent.com/bandcamp.

Lets see, I’ve gone out probably 5 times besides camp. Once to go to a local concert, three times to go to a local city festival and the other to go to the HP 5 movie.  I plan to go out at least to see Hairspray, Warped Tour and High School Musical live. We’ll see if it happens.

I think thats all I have to say on this subject. tata~
