		<description>One of the major issues with radio these days is the dispoable need for disc jockeys.  Computers are taking over many jobs in the broadcasting field (think about it—you can just set up iTunes to play music on a party shuffle and broadcast it, and I doubt people would know the difference).

94.9 The Sound is owned by Entercom.  Entercom and Clear Channel have been taking steps to weed out DJs and replace them with computers.  KGBY in Sacramento recently did that (check my blog—people are still posting comments today about something that happened three weeks ago), as did KBIG-FM in Los Angeles.  Great music, just not the most personable stations.</description>
